Shaun Jardine
Solicitor qualified in 1986
Mediator since 2001- Qualified with Plater College Oxford and ADR Chambers
Member of Civil Mediation Council
Approach
Shaun has been helping people resolve disputes through mediation since 2001, when he first became involved in community mediation on a pro bono basis dealing with neighbour disputes.
Shaun essentially brings experience to the table and mediates in an informal and relaxed manner. Shaun does not push the parties to meet with each other unless they wish to do so, and both agree. The parties control the process. He aims to be tough on the issues but soft on the parties and strives to push the parties towards a settlement.
Shaun has mediated numerous cases both as a solicitor acting for his own clients and as a commercial mediator resolving disputes between others.
He has acted as mediator on a wide variety of cases including:
- Boundary & neighbour disputes
- Disputes in relation to Section 106 Agreements
- Landlord & Tenant disputes
- Inheritance Act /Will dispute claims
- Professional negligence claims accountants/surveyors & solicitors
- Building disputes
- Recovery of local authority care payments
- Mortgage shortfall claims
- Partnership disputes
- Contract disputes
- Property disputes
- Intellectual Property/ownership of software
